hi there!

marginalia science is a community, committed to including, integrating, advocating for, and promoting members and their work, especially those who are female, non-gender conforming, POC, LGBTQIA+, differently abled or in any other way not promoted by the status quo in academia. we were founded by ana gantman, h. hannah nam, laura niemi, and pia dietze, and we are run by eliana hadjiandreou, ivy gilbert, jordan wylie, and minjae kim.

the main thing we do is send out a monthly newsletter on substack highlighting the awesome research of our interdisciplinary community. we also organize talks, symposia, and social gatherings to help foster community engagement and further showcase the work of folks in our community.
